Most people are going to look at the comic and go, "Oooh, pretty!" They wouldn't be wrong - GuruKitty has very beautiful, well-drawn, well-painted artwork to offer in Daqueran.
Those who take the time to read the story will find more to it than just lovely pictures. The storyline is intriguing and hints at the epic. There are diverse and rich secondary characters in addition to a cranky and dour protagonist and his new sharp-tongued but perky travelling companion (and my personal favorite - Tik, the darling little bottle-octopus).
GuruKitty has done more than just create interesting characters - she's designed an entire world full of wonderful scenery AND took the time to develop different cultural habits and attitudes.
Overall, Daqueran is quite the awesome read, and it's well-worth your time as a connoisseur of comics. Get to it, kids!

First of all it is well drawn and coloured, so far the story seems exciting. The best part is that you can't wait for the next page to come and I feel drawn to the homepage every saturday/sunday to check and see if a new page should in fact be there.
